Fact Check: Can Homeopathic Medicines Increase O2 Levels?

In the latest COVID-19 wave, an alarming number of patients experienced a sudden drop in oxygen saturation levels. There was a tragic shortage of oxygen tanks and hospital beds. And with it, there was a barrage of WhatsApp messages about this or that homeopathic remedy which was "homeopathic oxygen".

So, let's do a quick fact check about these messages. It will help you in preparing yourself for next wave of COVID-19.

1. Yes, homeopathic medicines CAN increase your SPO2.

Homeopathy doctors within my network and I have seen that homeopathic medicines are not only helpful in taking care of the virus load and allaying symptoms of COVID, but also in improving the oxygen saturation levels of the blood. Patients on oxygen were able to breathe independently quite soon. This was true for patients treated at home, or admitted in a hospital, and even patients with co-morbidities.

2. No, you should not go out and buy the medicine you read about on WhatsApp.

Homeopathy works on the basis of INDIVIDUALIZATION. This means that there are at least a 100 medicines capable of improving one's oxygen saturation, but just 1 that will work perfectly for you.
